Position Summary
Ideal Home Health Agency is seeking an ambitious, entrepreneurial, and results-driven Director of Growth & Operations to lead the growth and success of our Erie branch.
This is a unique opportunity for a motivated leader to build and expand a home health agency location with significant growth potential. The Director of Growth & Operations will be responsible for increasing client census, developing referral relationships, recruiting and retaining caregivers, overseeing daily operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving branch profitability.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong healthcare, business development, or management background and be excited by the opportunity to directly influence the growth and success of the Erie market. This position includes a profit-sharing component, allowing the successful candidate to share in the branch's financial success.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Growth
- Referral Development
- Develop and maintain relationships with physicians, hospitals, discharge planners, case managers, social workers, schools, rehabilitation facilities, and community organizations.
- Conduct outreach activities to increase agency visibility throughout the Erie market.
- Attend networking events, healthcare meetings, and community functions.
- Identify and pursue new referral opportunities.
- Client Census Growth
- Develop and implement branch growth strategies.
- Work collaboratively with Intake, Nursing, and Administrative teams to convert referrals into admissions.
- Monitor referral sources and admission trends.
- Establish and achieve branch census growth goals.
- Market Expansion
- Identify underserved populations and growth opportunities.
- Analyze local market conditions and competitor activities.
- Recommend strategies to expand services and market share.
- Branch Oversight
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the Erie office.
- Ensure smooth coordination between clinical, administrative, scheduling, recruiting, and billing functions.
- Maintain a positive, professional, and productive office environment.
- Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, payer, and agency requirements.
- Assist with preparation for audits, surveys, and regulatory reviews.
- Monitor branch performance indicators and quality metrics.
- Ensure timely completion of required documentation and reporting.
- Performance Monitoring
- Review branch productivity, staffing levels, census trends, and operational efficiency.
- Develop corrective action plans when necessary.
- Present branch performance reports to executive leadership.
- Caregiver Recruitment
- Develop recruiting strategies to attract qualified caregivers.
- Participate in interviewing and selection processes.
- Build relationships with community organizations, schools, and workforce development programs.
- Employee Retention
- Promote employee engagement and positive workplace culture.
- Support employee onboarding and orientation activities.
- Assist with employee recognition and retention initiatives.
- Staffing Coordination
- Collaborate with Scheduling and HR departments to ensure adequate staffing levels.
- Monitor workforce needs based on branch growth.
- Community Engagement
- Serve as the primary representative of Ideal Home Health Agency in the Erie market.
- Develop relationships with community leaders and healthcare stakeholders.
- Promote agency services throughout the region.
- Customer Service
- Address client and referral source concerns promptly and professionally.
- Promote exceptional customer service for clients, families, and referral partners.
- Financial Management
- Monitor branch revenue, expenses, and profitability.
- Assist with budgeting and financial planning activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and financial performance.
- Profit Sharing Performance
- Participate in branch profit-sharing incentives based on established performance goals.
- Contribute directly to branch revenue growth and profitability initiatives.
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Business Administration, Marketing, Management, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of three (2) years of experience in healthcare, home health, business development, operations management, or related field.
- Strong leadership and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Experience in home health, healthcare sales, healthcare operations, or community-based services.
- Existing relationships within the Erie healthcare market.
- Experience in managing staff and operational performance.
- Knowledge of Medicaid-funded home health services.
